Century Movie Theatre

The state-of-the-art Century Movie Theatre boasts 18 screens and is actually two theatres
in one. Mainstream cinema and the newest releases play at Century 12 Evanston while art
house and foreign films dominate the offerings at the Century CineArts 6. The theatre
complex is about a 10-minute walk from campus and offers discounted tickets to students.

Pick-Staiger Concert Hall

Attend a concert at Northwestern's Pick-Staiger Concert Hall.
Since its inception the hall has functioned as both a classroom and performance facility for School of Music performing ensembles, Music/Theater productions, faculty recitals, festivals and professional guest artists. A typical season of programming includes Orchestral, Choral, Opera, Chamber, Jazz, Contemporary, Brass, and Percussion concerts as well as solo recitals, lectures, master classes, and other related events.

Chicago Landmarks

Millennium Park

The Park offers dazzling music, art, landscape design and architecture – including the mammoth stainless-steel Cloud Gate sculpture – plus ice skating in the winter, splashing around in the interactive Crown Fountain during summer, and alfresco dining from spring to fall. And take a picture with "The Bean" (also known as Cloud Gate) at the AT&T Plaza, a sculpture by British artist Anish Kapoor.

Sears Tower

Standing at 1,450 feet and 110 stories high, Sears Tower is the tallest building in North America and the third tallest building in the world. Go all the way up to the skydeck and get best view of Chicago and beyond.You can see 40 – 50 miles (65 - 80 kilometers) on a clear day.

The Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue)

460 stores span this eight-block strench. Visitors can find luxury items, beautiful bargains, and everything in-between. Stores include American Girl Place, Garrett Popcorn Shops and Niketown, and Water Tower Place at 835 North Michigan Avenue features Macy's, more than 100 popular stores and Food Life, a unique themed food court on the mezzanine level.

Navy Pier

Navy Pier is Chicago's playground on the lakefront. Take a ride on the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel or board a Lake Michigan boat cruise for a spectacular view of Chicago's world-famous skyline. Don't miss Navy Pier's Crystal Gardens, large-screen I-MAX theater and Skyline Stage.

Field Musuem

A natural history museum, The Field got its start during the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago. It housed the event's biological and anthropological exhibits at the core of the museum's current collection. The collection has expanded through expeditions, acquisitions, gifts and traveling exhibitions.

Shedd Aquarium

Spend a day (or two! there are more than 32,500 animals living at the Shedd) visiting the creatures of the waters at the Shedd. Get up close to a Beluga whale, some fresh water rays, a giant pacific octobus, and even a couple of sharks! The Shedd is a must see in Chicago, it is, after all "The world's aquarium"

Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute's permanent collection of paintings, drawings, photography and textiles includes the largest compilation of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works outside the Louvre.
